Miniature linear motors with integrated drive

The NLi series offers integrated linear motors that maintain the compact footprint of standard models. These motors feature a built-in, low-voltage 24 VDC drive, programmable via serial connection and Modbus RTU protocol.

A small PLC within the NLi motor enables precise linear motion control through digital inputs and outputs. The PLC supports 10 programmable positions, each customizable with motion profiles (trapezoidal, triangular, polynomial, sinusoidal), movement times, waiting periods, and start triggers. The NiLAB Starter software facilitates easy configuration of these settings.

NLi motors provide a seamless replacement for pneumatic actuators, offering identical control mechanisms and simplifying the transition. For advanced interpolated control, CANopen and EtherCAT connectivity are available.

NLi motors are offered in various configurations: rotor shaft diameters of 8 and 12 mm, sizes Q and X, with peak forces reaching 250N and speeds up to 5 m/s.

These innovative motors eliminate the need for a separate drive in the control panel, significantly reducing installation and wiring costs. Additionally, the dual connector design allows for easy daisy-chain connections.

For applications requiring pneumatic slide replacement, the MCSS series combines NLi integrated drive motors with linear guide-based mechanics. These compact units, measuring 40x78mm (MCSS080X) and 62x128mm (MCSS120Q), deliver continuous linear forces of 18,5N and 42N, respectively, with peak forces reaching 82,7N and 187,7N.
